The Extra Virgin Olive Oil "Il SECOLARE", produced on the slopes of the Aspromonte National Park, is the result of a careful selection of the best olives produced from our centuries-old olive trees, native culrivars Ottobratica, Sinopolese and Ciciarello cultivars.
With the help of mechanical machine, the harvest extends throughout the month of October until November 15. The milling of the olives, consisting of a cold pressing of the fruits, is carried out with a continuous cycle system of the latest generation. The process is completed within a few hours, in order to maintain the quality of our olives unchanged, preserving the nutritional values and organoleptic properties of our Il Secolare oil.
The Extra Virgin Oil
Rich in polyphenols and with a very low acidity, Il Secolare is a medium fruity extra vrigin olive oil, which, to the eye, presents a leafy green color at the beginning, tending to golden yellow; with hints of fresh herbs and wild thistle, on the palate it presents medium bitter and spicy perceptions, pleasant and well balanced.
The storage of extra virgin olive oil takes place in closed stainless steel containers and in a controlled environment.
After the rigorously natural decantation lasting two months, the extra virgin olive oil is bottled and marketed, in bottles of 250 ml, 500 ml or in cans of 3lt and 5lt.
